Your role
The Quantity Surveyor prepares quantity take-off/budget, bidding, and ward of the project. Duties involve the preparation of tender documents, invitation of competent bidders, and evaluation of the contractor's proposal. He/she is responsible for the control estimate of the project, preparation of bid tabulation, abstract of bids, a notice of wards and agreement, evaluation of contractor's billing, and change order/extra works.
Scope & responsibilities
Bidding
- Check and review bid plans before the pre-bid meeting for value engineering and to minimize or possibly avoid conflicts on the plan and minimize change order.
- Invite competent contractors for bidding.
- Prepare bid documents.
- Conduct pre-bid meeting at job site to familiarize all bidders with the site condition
- Prepare billing of quantities and bid bulletins to avoid conflict on the bid proposal of the bidders.
- Canvass construction materials from suppliers for cost control.
- Provide quantity take-off and budget of the project based on the updated cost to assure the economy of the project.
- Conduct clarification meetings with the shortlisted bidders to verify if all scope of works is covered in its bid.
Awards
- Prepare a notice of award and agreement for signing.
- Coordinate with the construction management department regarding the winning bidders.
- Prepare contract documents for signing and notarization.
Construction Cost Monitoring
- Check the completeness of billing requirements.
- Evaluation of contractor's change order.
- Prepare a checklist for final inspection for punch listing of a site.
- Evaluation and inspect scope of works based on the contract award and actual accomplishment.
- Conduction reconciliation meeting of additive/deductive works for project closing out.
About you
Required qualifications:
- Graduate in Civil Engineering course preferably CE license.
- Fresh graduate and above.
