Your role

Job description

As a Telephony Specialist, you will have the responsibility of managing, configuring, and maintaining Cisco monitor/recorder systems, utilizing AES with CTI links. Your role will also involve extensive testing and troubleshooting of analog, digital, T1, and SIP circuits to ensure their optimal functionality.

What awaits you in this role?     

• Manage, configure, and maintain Cisco monitor/recorder, utilizing AES with CTI links.
• Test and troubleshoot analog, digital, T1, and SIP circuits.
• Administer ACD split/skill reports and vectoring using CMS.
• Provide assistance to troubleshoot Cisco CCM equipment at domestic sites.
• Work with local provider ordering circuits, trunks, and analog lines.
• Determine requirements for and implement IP telephony software for call center reporting.
• Project lead on many TDM and IP telephony endeavors from inception to completion.
• Back out over 300 TDM PRIs with no outages to any services in production.
• Develop and administer a training program for IP telephony network, test equipment, and transmission interfaces.
• Mentored colleagues in handling all call center functions, including ACD statistical and CTI support.
• Assist in the installation and test of newly delivered T1 from the LEC (fix wireless).
• Perform performance tuning, network setup, database patches, database installations, and application interfacing.
• Work with vendors on ordering local PRI and long-distance service for Houston and remote locations.
• Use digital and analog test sets, T1 test equipment analog test sets, and T1 test equipment to troubleshoot circuits.
• Implement VOIP networks across international boundaries.
• Assist in engineering, architectural design, implementation, and installation of Cisco VoIP platform.
• Provide recommendations to management to improve equipment reliability and conference quality for infrastructure documentation.
