Your role

As an intern in HR Services, you will get the opportunity to work with a Global Team gaining exposure to different HR policies and practices across the world. In this team, you will get the opportunity to contribute towards areas of the employee life cycle such as:

  • Supporting the coordination of onboarding & background checks for new employees. Preparation of submissions to inform the 3rd parties of employee life cycle event changes.
  • Handling live chats and questions from employees across the globe.
  • Helping with life events impacting careers, job changes, and reward management.
  • Managing the termination process and supporting the company alumni.
  • Testing of new technology and enhancements to processes.
  • Running of sessions with end users to gather requirements / demonstrate new products.

About you

Who You Are (Requirements and Qualifications):  

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university/college, in the penultimate year of your bachelor’s or master’s degree studies (Graduation in 2025).
  • Available to work full-time from August 2024.
  • OJT or School Internship only.
  • Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and business proficiency in English.  
  • Ability to create accurate and punctual reports, deliver presentations, and share information and ideas with others. 
  • Analytically driven and detail-oriented, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Package and aptitude to learn new software.

Training & development

You will be assigned a project and work directly with teams to gain real-world experience, contribute to the business, and impact the digital world. Gain practical work experience by working on real business challenges and impactful projects. Your manager, mentor, and assigned buddy will support you throughout your journey. You will also have access to resources, tools, and events aimed at supporting your comprehensive development. The internships run from 3 to 6 months depending on your location and business area.

Career progression

The team is a great gateway into the world of HR Operations and also HR with the opportunity to try out different elements within the HR function. At the end of your internship, you will be a finalist in Equinix’s annual Shark Tank-style intern competition, where you will present your project and its business value. 

And, as an Equinix employee, you will work on many projects with various teams—and you will learn a lot of skills and technologies. You will attend workshops, present original research at industry conferences, contribute to a patent, and even receive a patent award. As you develop your technical skills, you will always have access and exposure to management and leadership.
