Diagnoses and treats patients with mental health problems and illness consulting at the Acute Psychiatric Unit (APU)
Helps the APU Head in:
Supervising medical officer/s in attending patients recently discharged from government mental institutions such as National Center for Mental Health (NCMH), Mandaluyong City, and Mariveles Mental Wellness and General Hospital for follow-up outpatient treatment.
Supervising medical officer/s in attending referrals from the emergency room and from other departments and agencies.
Refers patients for admission to appropriate psychiatric institutions.
Supervise and assist medical officer/s in creating evaluation reports for patients of APU.
Conducts psychiatric evaluation of referred employees from the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) and from the Employees’ Health and Wellness Center (EHWC) for evaluation and management.
Assist in overseeing the department’s operation including supervision and guidance to residents and other APU personnel.
Demonstrates visible commitment and consistent adherence to the quality policy and QMS Procedure and guidelines.
Participates in the Performance Governance System with regard to the Mental Health Specialty Center.
Performs other related functions as may be assigned.
