Your role

• Finish the BIM training program (Architectural, Structural, and MEP).
• Create BIM content: Families, Models in Place, Formulas, Templates, Etc.
• Follow BIM content standards
• Create a Building Information Model (BIM) from LOD 200 to LOD 500.
• Ensure construction document accuracy based on discipline BIM modeling.
• Print drawing sets.
• Conduct initial clash analysis.
• Perform clash analysis & formalize to Request for Information (RFI).
• Monitor and update the Submittal Registry according to the Project Execution Schedule.
• Prepare your own discipline model and/or content for the BIM Coordination Meeting.
• Calibrate the model based on recent developments within the project, including but not limited to design updates and/or as per actual site condition.
• Provide shop drawings from BIM, in accordance with the TSD IFC deliverables list.
• Collaborate and coordinate with other disciplines' design –changes and model challenges.
• Able to handle all disciplines within the employment contract duration.
• Participate in discipline reviews for both internal and external teams.
• Collect redlined IFC/drawings from COD prior to as-built preparation (LOD 500).
• Develop a high level of communication and good writing skills.
• Assist in the consolidation of clash reports, and material presentations.
• Start over-the-shoulder training, developing and shadowing new hires.
• Report to immediate heads: Coordinator and supervisor.
• Perform other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Training & development

MDC provides a development program aimed at sharpening knowledge and skills in the use of analysis tools and methods in identifying and resolving key performance issues. The program also aims to inculcate a strong “Sustainable Excellence” mindset, especially during the Pre-Construction and Construction phases of a project.
