McKinsey & Company is a global management consulting firm. They are the trusted advisor to the world's leading businesses, governments, and institutions.
They work with leading organizations across the private, public and social sectors. Their scale, scope, and knowledge allow us to address problems that no one else can. They have deep functional and industry expertise as well as a breadth of geographical reach. They are passionate about taking on immense challenges that matter to our clients and, often, to the world.
You’ll build meaningful, collaborative relationships with your teammates and the colleagues who depend on your administrative support.
Mckinsey invests more than $200 million to train their people. Their consultants attend at least five weeks of formal programming in their first two years, starting with EMBARK, their basic consulting training, plus advanced sessions on team management and client leadership.
In addition to formal and in-person training, they have an extensive e-learning on-demand curriculum and office- and practice-based learning options.
One of the things that set McKinsey apart from other employers is the extensive, best-in-class learning and development they provide for their colleagues.
McKinsey believes in strengths-based development and coaching, and you’ll receive frequent mentoring from colleagues. This will include a senior colleague from your office or practice who will help you grow and achieve your career goals. Additionally, you will have a professional development manager who manages to staff to help you choose projects based on your priorities as well as the needs of client service teams.
Mckinsey found the challenge of achieving work-life balance is often exacerbated by gender stereotypes, which are often avoided by same-gender DCCs. Drawing on qualitative interviews and data collected for Women in the Workplace, a 2021 report published in partnership with LeanIn.Org, they found that same-gender DCCs tend to manage household responsibilities using a range of strategies that allow for greater flexibility. These include:
Their holistic, rigorous approach delivers business value by building cultures of continuous improvement and shaping successful change programs. Deep expertise, data analytics, and a proven framework help leaders more than double their odds of delivering successful change at scale. They set clear goals and determine how the organization can achieve them. They tap organizational networks to drive progress, and they make changes personally shifting mindsets and motivating new behaviors at the individual level. The result is a more future-proofed organization with a culture that can sustain superior performance.
