The IT Intern will assist the IT department with various tasks to support the company's overall technology infrastructure. He/she will have hands-on experience in IT operations, asset management, and technical support.
As an intern, you are expected to:
Maintain and update IT asset inventory records, including hardware and software details.
Assist with the procurement process, including vendor communication and order tracking.
Support the setup, configuration, and deployment of IT hardware and software for end-users.
Help maintain documentation related to software licenses, warranties, and compliance.
Assist in the decommissioning and disposal of outdated or non-functional IT assets.
Generate and analyze reports on IT asset usage, inventory levels, and compliance status.
Provide support to end-users and participate in training sessions on IT asset management practices.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
About you
Basic Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Basic understanding of IT hardware, software components, and IT asset management principles.
Familiarity with basic IT troubleshooting and support processes.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
