Manage and oversee the end-to-end accounting and financial function of the company. Work closely with the management. And also handles financial and tax regulatory matters.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferably.
Certified Public Account (CPA) with experience in IFRS regulations and 5-8 years of related experience and/or training required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
In-depth understanding of bookkeeping, audits, financial and accounting principles
Advanced Excel (e.g. Pivot Tables, vLookups, etc.) and Google Sheet skills in building complex financial models and experience with using planning systems
Knowledgeable of accounting software or ERP is a must.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Should have high interactive skills so that he can efficiently tell his views to the employees and know their views.
Previous background in the distribution, retail, or commerce industry will be a plus.
Knowledge of the distribution and construction industry will be a plus.
Role:
Lead the whole finance operations and processes of the company
Ensure timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are by Philippine's generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met, including monthly, quarterly, and annual audits, and liaise with the management team, tax consultants, and external auditors as necessary.
Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing of books.
Provide periodic management accounts and analytical business performance reporting to the management.
Liaison with the management team on financial-related matters, including irregularities, cash flow, planning, etc.
Support the managers on financial-related matters
Assist in implementing management points and audit findings from internal and external auditors
Assist in/supervise the preparation of journals, and account reconciliations especially bank and inventory reconciliation
Oversee local and foreign payable and receivable transactions and make sure that payment/collection is done on a timely basis.
Understand the business regulatory and audit requirements and ensure they are adhered to
Assist in training new staff on the current accounting and finance processes and system
Set an example for team members of commitment, financial activities, work ethics, habits, and personal character.
Managing, mentoring, and developing the finance team
Prepares/Reviews all tax returns and supervises the timely and accurate payment
Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and the Board of Internal Revenue (BIR) on tax-related matters.
Can handle BIR and BOC audits
Involve with special projects related to business development, strategic growth, and business partners
